Samson & Hercules Court

The exact location of the court is unknown, but it was somewhere around 14 Tombland. It took its name from figures of Samson & Hercules which stood outside the court, which can be traced back as far as 1783. Pictured is "The Samson & Hercules" in 1935 when it was a favourite ballroom in the city.
