Labour in Vain Yard
Located on Guildhall Hill the Yard was named after the Labour in Vain pub, which traded at 2 Market Place from 1830. Pictured here in 2009 the yard has now been redeveloped into an attractive area which at the time the photo was taken comprised a number of businesses including a health food shop and vegetarian cafe.
