Hook's (Crook's) Yard
Located at 53-55 Colegate the Yard possibly took its name from Samuel Hook, a tailor at Colegate c1880 or a Mrs Hook who lived at 51 Colegate c1900. It was also known as Crooks Yard
The yard was destroyed soon after this photograph was taken in 1937.
