Emms' Yard
Located at 19 - 21 Pottergate, the yard was at one time known as Cott's Yard. It is likely to have taken its final name from William J Emms who operated a house furnishing & drapery business at nos 19 - 21 Pottergate in the early 20th century.
The yard was destroyed in the early 1930s. The area where it stood is picured here in 1938.
