Burrell's Yard
The Yard runs from 49 - 51 Colegate to 162 St George's Street. It has had a number of names (including Guild Yard). The name Burrell may derive from the fact that in 1854 a Jonathan Burrell operated as a "Hair seating" manufacturer, at Colegate. The photograph was taken in 1936 by 1941 the Yard had been demolished.
