Anchor Yard (St George's & Calvert Streets)
There were at least four Anchor Yards in Norwich. These included the properties lying from 98 - 102 Calvert Street to 107 St George's Street. Here the name came from the Crown and Anchor pub located at 119 St George's Street. Rather confusingly it was know as the Crown & Anchor Yard at the St George Street end and as the Anchor (of Hope) Yard in Calvert Street. The Yard was lost by the early 1960s
